About Kefalonia

The mountainous and very green island of Kefalonia is certainly a destination not to be missed.  It is the largest island of the Ionian Sea and its capital is Argostoli. Visitors have access to beautiful beaches unspoiled by mass tourism such as Petani, Myrtos, Xi, Antisamos, Lourdas. Kefalonia is also well-known for its picturesque villages and offers many possibilities for hiking. Important attractions of the island are Melissani and Drogarati Caves, the Castle of Saint George, Katavothres and the Archaeological Museum.

How to Reach Kefalonia:

By Plane
You can come to Kefalonia airport with many direct flights from many different airports in Europe with many different companies like Air Berlin, EasyJet, Ryanair and others.

By Boat
You can also reach Kefalonia by boat from various locations in Greece and abroad. Famous companies which go to the island are Anek Lines, Minoan Lines, Superfast ferries and more. Book your ferry tickets and Travel to Kefalonia!



By Bus
Finally, if you are travelling from Athens, you can take the national coach (K.T.E.L) to Argostoli which takes about 8 hours to arrive (including the passage from Kyllini to Poros). Buses run normally twice a day from the K.T.E.L bus station in Kifissou Street 100, Athens. X93 will also get you from the airport to the bus station directly.
